How to apply for a volunteer job?
Filed Under Community Service | 3 Comments
I am a Junior in High School and am looking for a Volunteer job.
The purpose is to earn volunteer hours to put on my College application. Why? Because it is easier to get into the college of my choice that way.
I am either looking for a volunteer job at a park or hospital.
I am confused on how the process works
Do I pick up a volunteer job application from my school first or what?
Please give some external links consulting volunteer jobs and how they work.
Please help.
Thanks!

Job Interviews: Can some suggest a womens store to purchase a quality blazer and skirt suit?
Filed Under Fashion & Accessories | 4 Comments
I am looking for a quality blazer and skirt pair. I am not limited with what I can spend. Casual Corner used to have really nice suits but the chain has closed. This is something I want to use strictly for job interviews. Any help would much be appreciated!

I have been in my job for almost 8 years and I want to start the process to buy a house in January. Problem is I hate my job and want to look for a new job. Will starting a new job now impact my ability to purchase a house?

What kind of creative job can I get without any experience?
Filed Under Financial Services | 3 Comments
I have a couple of years of experience in retail sales, and I’ve worked at hotel front desk jobs. I want a better job. I have a high school diploma. I get excellent evaluations. I can study something on my own at home, but formal training is not realistic at the moment. A job where I am not on my feet for the entire day would be an excellent improvement. Mostly though, I’d like to sit down and actually work at a project. Making a decent wage is also a consideration. Any ideas?
PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO SELL ME A FRANCHISE OR MULTI-LEVEL MARKETING SCHEME!!!

How do I separate my jobs/writeoffs for taxes for 3 jobs, 1 an Independent Contractor job?
Filed Under United States | 2 Comments
Job 1: Independent Contractor (has writeoffs for gas, office supplies, etc.)
Job 2: Employee (has writeoffs for gas, office supplies, etc.)
Job 3: Employee
Also, I have $1500 in interest for student loans.
How do I separate all of these for my tax filing?
I work from home as an employee. That’s why I have office supplies on there.
Also, once I’ve filled out the Schedule A and Schedule C, where do I total everything up?

What kind of job can you get if you have a Bachelor’s degree and majored in Psychology?

And is there a way to find such jobs on-line? I’m a bit disheartened with my current job and am looking for something that will use more of my skills. I can type about 42 wpm, fingerspell to communicate with the deaf, and maybe more. I’m not bad with computers and have no problem training, but I won’t wear shorts (which is why I turned down a job at Disney). What do you think? What can I do?
